I. Do you usually write by hand?
→ Well, I do write by hand, but not that often anymore. Of course, I still have to take down notes in my class because laptops are prohibited. But recently, I prefer texting on my phone or typewriting on the computers so I seldom use pen and paper.
To take down /teɪk daʊn/ (Phrasal Verb): ghi chú, ghi chép = to write something down
E.g.1: Reporters took down every word of his speech.
Prohibited /prəʊˈhɪbɪtɪd/: không được phép, cấm = not allowed; banned

E.g.3: She made a great song and dance about that typewriting course she took.
II. Do you think handwriting will be replaced by computers?
→ Definitely yes. With the massive development of technology, it is likely that our children’s generation would be facing with computer’s screen all the time. To some extent, handwriting will not be taken over by computers in schools in the near future, but for professional work , it is highly likely that computers will dominate.
Massive /ˈmæsɪv/: to lớn = very large in size, amount, or number
E.g.1: If the drought continues, deaths will occur on a massive scale.

E.g.3: Diet books dominate bestseller lists.
III. Is it still necessary to keep handwriting?
→ Yes, it is. Though technology is developing fast, we cannot ignore the significance of handwriting. When we write by hand, it helps us to remember things better than just downloading or copying from the computers. Moreover, handwriting also prevents us from being lazy when we depend too much on machine. Therefore, I think that handwriting is needed.
Ignore /ɪɡˈnɔːr/: to intentionally not listen or give attention to: ngó lơ, làm lơ, không chú ý đến
E.g.1: The government has completely ignored the wishes of the public.
Significance /sɪɡˈnɪfɪkəns/: the importance of something, especially when this has an effect on what happens in the future: tầm quan trọng
E.g.2: Do these symbols have any particular significance?
Prevent sb/sth from doing sth: to stop somebody from doing something: ngăn chặn ai làm gì , bảo vệ ai khỏi cái gì
E.g.3: Fierce winds prevented the race from taking place.
Depend on sb/sth (Phrasal Verb): to need something, or need the help and support of someone or something, in order to live or continue as before: dựa dẫm , tin cậy, phụ thuộc vào ai/cái gì
E.g.4: The country depends heavily on foreign aid.
IV. What impression does a person’s handwriting have on other people?
→ Wow,that’s a good question ! Let me see , in my opinion , handwriting can tell many things about his/her character . For example, if a person who has readable and neat handwriting , he/she will be considered to be an organized person. Otherwwise, a person whose writing is incomprehensible, he is usually a messy and untidy person.

V. Do you prefer to write by hand or on the computer?
→ Oh no, it’s hard for me to pick one. Though I know that typing on the computers is faster, more convenient and in some cases it looks more professional, but in the end of the day , I would chose to write by hand . Because I think letters contain my emotions attached and when I write them on the paper, I feel like they flow much more naturally.
Convenient /kənˈviːniənt/: → useful, easy or quick to do; not causing problem → tiện lợi, thuận tiện
“A bicycle is often more convenient than a car in towns.” (Đi xe đạp thường sẽ tiện lợi hơn là ô tô khi đi trong những thị trấn )

“The British traditionally tend not to display much emotion in public.” (Người anh thường không có xu hướng bộc lộ quá nhiều cảm xúc khi ở nơi đông người)
VI. How do most people write things nowadays?
→ Hmm, let me think. Well, actually there’re many ways to jot down things, it depends on each person’s habit. For example, I and my friends who has the same age with me still like to write by hand even though we’re outside the schools whereas many teenagers tend to use their smart phones to make simple notes or lists. I aslo have seen children prefer writing diary than typing the computers.
To jot down /dʒɑːt daʊn/: ( phrasal verb ) →to write something quickly on a piece of paper so that you remember it: → ghi chú, ghi chép nhanh

VII. What are the differences between handwriting and emails?
→ Clearly, handwriting and emails are totally different from each other. While handwriting helps the writer to send more emotions and messages or personal think to reader naturally, emails is quicker and more advantageous in term of speed.
Be different from sb/sth /ˈdɪfrənt/ →not the same as somebody/something; not like somebody/something else →khác ai/cái gì, khác biệt giữa ,..
